Recap Friday (Week of 9/23)

This week's Recap Friday comes a little late but it's not entirely my fault.
I mean, I can't help it if I've been abducted by the Incredible Hulk... right? ;)

So while I was gone, the following events happened...

MONDAY

A candid shot of Norman Reedus at Con this year had us all fangirling for a moment. And by us I mean me. - T. Nguyen

TUESDAY

We drooled over the infamous SDCC Badge Holder's Cake. The glorious combination of chocolate icing and creamy white fondant had previously gone missing but we've since found out that it made its way into some happy tummies. - T. Nguyen

Fox announced that they've got a Gotham City Origins drama in the works. - K. Hernandez

And Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered on ABC!

TV By the Numbers announced that Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is TV's #1 drama debut in 4 years, surpassing the second night of auditions on The Voice by 15% in viewership. - D. Berry

And Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans could stream "Declassified" recaps of episodes they've missed. - B. Dragos

THURSDAY

The first behind-the-scenes images of "Into the Woods," the film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's play, were revealed and... Meryl Streep is terrifying. - J. David.

Bleeding Cool hinted a potential Wonder Woman casting as "Batman vs. Superman" calls for a "strong female lead." - L. Sam

And members speculated that DC is also planning to dominate television as NBC moves on with the development of Constantine. This comes weeks after CW had confirmed that The Flash will appear in the new season of Arrow. - M. Gonzalez

And Brad won the internet.

FRIDAY

Some of our members reported that they'd received emails about preregistration for SDCC 2014. An updated post revealed that you could check your eligibility status via the Comic-Con website. - H. Meza and S. Mungaray

Austin posted an incredible sketch of White Phoenix that he'd commissioned from Dijana Granov.

Vetty reminded us why we love Lindsey Stirling so much with the Pokemon Dubstep Remix. If you've yet to watch any of her videos... You. Are. Missing. Out.

Legoland announced that they are planning to break the world record for the most vampires at a place at one time on October 4th, 2013. Night-walkers are asked to register at the gate at 4:00 pm. - B. Woodin

And members thoroughly swooned at Tom Hiddleston as he reads a sonnet. A sonnet. Someone transcribe that on my tombstone please. - A. Copley
